Janis Sue Lockhart's Obituary
Janis Sue Lockhart, 74 passed away September 1, 2021 at her home in Seven Points, TX. September 1, 2021. A loving mother, caring grandmother, she will be missed by all whose lives she blessed.
Janis was born in Independence, KS to Jim and Dorothy (Reider) Winkler on November 27, 1946. She graduated from Independence High School class of 64.
On January 2, 1981 she married James Lockhart, they made their home in Dallas, TX.
Janis is survived by daughter Lisa Barker and spouse Clint of Forney, TX, daughter Amanda Winkler Wise and spouse Micky Wise of Seven Points, TX, Step Sons James Lockhart and David Lockhart, Granddaughters Kelsey Barker and Amber Lockhart, Grandsons Brandon Barker, Dillon Warren, Nolan Wise, Nicholas Lockhart, Michael Lockhart, James Lockhart, Dustin Lockhart, Cody Lockhart and Benjamin Lockhart
She is proceeded in death by her parents Jim and Dorothy Winkler and her husband James Lockhart.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday September 24, 2021 at Restland Funeral home Dallas, TX.
She will be laid to rest with her parents in Independence, KS October 16, 2021 at 2PM.
