Janis L. Reese's Obituary
REESE, JANIS LEE GIVENS, went home to be with the Lord on July 28, 2007 in Mesquite, TX at the age of 56. Janis was born to Elvin Earl Givens and Bonnie June Givens on May 17, 1951 in Fort Worth, TX. She was raised in Dallas where she attended Woodrow Wilson High School. Janis was a very warm and caring person who never met a stranger. She cared deeply for her family, friends and extended kindness even to those she did not know. Janis loved animals especially her dog. Janis was a genuine, open individual, dedicated homemaker, and loving mother who doted on her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Givens and is survived by her mother; Bonnie June Givens; sons, Kenneth Lee Reese; Jason T. Reese and wife Robin; grandson, Carter; granddaughters, Ashlee and Courtney Reese; former spouse and father of her sons, Tommy Reese; cherished life partner of 20 years, Dave Fischer; sister June Warren and husband Don; 2 nephews, Brian and Steve Warren. Janis is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Family will receive friends on Monday, July 30, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Restland Memorial Park.
