Jason Logan Lowrance's Obituary
Jason Logan Lowrance, 53, of Garland passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2026, after a brave and courageous fight with cancer.
He was born on September 15, 1972, to James Logan Lowrance and Nina Alayne White. He married Jennifer Lewis on October 6, 1990. They shared 20 years of marriage and were blessed with three beautiful children.
Jason built a respected career as a certified auto mechanic for nearly 30 years. During his time with Just Brakes, his skill and strong work ethic led him to manage his own store and help open new locations, where he played a key role in the company’s growth. A natural-born mechanic, he took pride in his craft and used his talent not just as a profession, but as a way to serve others—always willing to help anyone in need.
Outside of his profession, he enjoyed building model cars with loved ones and found peace in nature—camping, hiking, biking, and spending time outdoors. He also had a creative spirit and loved painting, a hobby that inspired his granddaughter to pursue art as well, continuing his creative influence into the next generation.
Music was woven into the fabric of his life. From attending his father’s gigs as a young boy to later filling rooms with laughter and joy, it remained one of his greatest passions. His love of music inspired his sons to play guitar and encouraged his daughter to sing. Some of his most cherished moments were spent in his oldest son’s garage—laughing, playing, and jamming together—moments that felt as though their souls were connected through the music they shared.
Throughout his life, Jason endured many hardships, yet he chose growth over defeat. He turned weakness into strength and devoted himself to restoring his relationships. He became a living testament to the power of redemption found in a father’s love.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bill and Sara White, and his paternal grandfather, Charles Logan Lowrance.
He is survived by his eldest son, James; his middle son, Jared; and his youngest child and only daughter, Jessica; his grandmother, Charlotte Lowrance; his mother, Nina McCart; and his father, Jimmy Lowrance. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, listed from eldest to youngest: Makenzie, Bailey, James Jr., Zander, Kaiden, and Logan.
He also leaves behind his aunts, Teri Glover and Karen Krycho; his sister, Lisa Mesquit; and an extended family of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
His rhythm lives on in each of us—in the memories we cherish, in every song played, and in every heart changed by knowing him.
He touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
— Psalm 30:5
