Jason Wren's Obituary
Jason Fender Wren, 90, of Mesquite, Texas, died May 2, 2018. He was born on April 26, 1928, to Richard Wren and Flossie Fender Wren in McBeth/Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Jason married Emily Elizabeth Weaver on November 2, 1955 in Florida. He was in the printing ink and paper slitting business for over 35 years. Jason was a member of the National Defense Service. He served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1963 as a CS2/Culinary Specialist, Commissaryman Petty Officer. Jason was a die hard Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed the deer lease, but was most proud of the grandchildren and their accomplishments.Jason is survived by his daughter and son in law, Tracy and Jerrell Little of Mesquite, Texas; granddaughter, Tori Little; grandson, Tyler Little; daughter in law, Ruth Wagner of Parlin, New Jersey; 14 grandchildren in New Jersey; 5 great grandchildren in New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Emily Elizabeth Wren; his son, Wallace Wagner; his sister, Evelyn Weeks; and brothers, J.D. Wren, Britt Wren; and Grover Wren.The family requests that visiting hours be observed for Mr. Wren on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A funeral service for Jason will be on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Court of Freedom in Restland Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
