Jay Michael Willis' Obituary
Jay Michael Willis passed away on December 21, 2021 in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 75. He was born on May 2, 1946 to Robert Eugene Willis and Mary Elizabeth Jay in San Angelo, Texas. Jay worked in microbiology at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas. The he went on to start a gas and oil company, Dalvest Energy. He was a pioneer in the implementation of drug testing for the department of transportation of Texas when he opened his drug testing lab, IDEA, Inc. Jay was the ultimate entrepreneur.
Jay is survived by his daughters, Jayne Atchley and Kara Green of Dallas, Texas, and son, Michael Stovenour of McKinney Texas. Sisters; Mary Pignalberi, Kathy Martin, Carolyn Erickson, Sharon Broaddus, Patricia Watkins; brother, Robert Willis and ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. And a host of other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents
Jay was our dad, our grandfather great-grandfather, our brother, our uncle and our friend, you will be missed. You had an unmatched zest for life. Always caring and always helping others. We are so sad, but know that you would tell us to be strong and keep going. We will keep you memories, your smile, and your love in our hearts forever.
