J.C Russell Earwood's Obituary
Mr. J.C Russell Earwood, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 10, 2019, in Garland, Texas. He was born on December 1, 1924, to his loving and thoughtful parents, Cullman Earwood and Birdie Earwood in Commerce, Texas. Mr. J.C Russell Earwood married Billie Whitten on December 24, 1947 in Paris, Texas. He was a truck driver for Santa Fe Freight for 28 years. He served in the Army from August 31, 1944 to June 27, 1946 as a Private First Class. He is survived by his spouse Billie Earwood – Garland, TX, daughter Rita Earwood Fenter son-in-law Larry Fenter – Copeville, TX. Sister Margie Baxter – Riverside, CA grand kids: Grandson Jeff Fenter his wife Elizabeth and three children Sydney, Easton and Quinlee granddaughter Tiffany Greiger her husband John Greiger and two children Janele and Jack and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two brothers: lee Earwood and Ray Earwood, one sister Gladys Thomason.J.C Russell Earwood he was the oldest boy of five siblings. He entered the U.S Army in August 1944 and served as a private and private first class. He was sent overseas for five months for a tour of duty during WWII. He was honorably discharged from the Army in June 1946. After returning home, J.C started dating his future bride, Billie Whitten. they were married on December 24, 1947. Their only child, Rita Earwood Fenter was born on July 13, 1949 in Paris, Texas. After Ritas birth, J.C moved his family to the DFW area where he worked for 28 years as a truck driver with Santa Fe Freight. J.C and Billie Recently celebrated their 71st anniversary and have lived in the same house for almost 50 years. J.C spent those years surrounded by a loving family, taking care of animals and riding motorcycles.
