Jean is a very special person I have known for over 40 years. It was through a weekly Prayer Breakfast at church where I observed her outgoing, caring, helpful nature, and came to know her native curiosity across a broad spectrum of topics. Her getting a degree in business (not your standard woman’s degree for the time) from SMU reminded me of my mom getting a chemistry degree. Jean was a surrogate grandmother to my daughter (both grandmothers lived far from Dallas).After Jean moved into the senior living center I enjoyed going to have a meal with her followed by a conversation in her apartment on a broad spectrum of topics. I would also from time to time help her with issues on her computer.Jean is a warm-hearted person who has a very special place in my life. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to walk the path of life with her.Bruce Webster

I feel very blessed to have met Jean. Although I did not know her very well, I knew her daughter Becca, husband Alex and son Alex III. I will forever remember her sitting in the front row of all our chorus concerts, so happy to be there enjoying the music.
It is evident how she was loved and cared for, being included in everything. She was such an inspiration to me. She will be missed.

Jean Barrar was an Angel down here on earth and is now an Angel up there in Heaven! I am grateful ~ thankful to have had her in my Life! As a Friend and also a Member of the Walk to Emmaus! And member of the First United Methodist Church here in downtown Dallas. What a Lady! What a Friend! She always was and always will be!
