Jean Gertrude Weisz's Obituary
Jean, born on June 13, 1921, was called home on February 9, 2017. Jean was a charter member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Richardson, Texas. She was a beautician for 25 years and loved to garden, read and do crossword puzzles. She loved her family and had a tender heart for everyone. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Vincent I. Weisz her son Ronald Dale Weisz and sister, Ruth Dickey. Jean is survived by daughters, Marcia Blair of Houston, Texas, Karen Smith of Richardson, Texas and daughter-in-law Cynthia Weisz of Telephone, Texas. Eight grandchildren: Shelley Cauble and husband Kelly, Robert Blair and wife Wendy, Brian Blair and wife Erin, Gary Gaines and wife Christy, Greg Gaines, Chad Huffhines and wife Beth, Jason Weisz and wife Heather, Elisa Lea and husband Joseph. Jean is also survived by 18 great grandchildren. Niece Joyce Hanebrink and husband Larry, nephew Paul Dickey and partner Sophia, nephew Bill Dickey and wife Meredith. Services will be on Monday, February 13 at 10:00 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. This is the Chapel where St. Luke’s Lutheran Church actually began holding services. Jean’s 8 grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home.
