Jean B Hurst's Obituary
Jean Borgeson King Hurst of Richardson, TX, born July 25, 1925, in Evanston, IL to Esther and Julius Borgeson, passed away on June 26, 2023 in Dallas, just one month shy of her 98th birthday. She married William A. King on September 7, 1949, and together they had five children. She married Sidney J. Hurst on June 27, 1993, in Dallas.
Jean was a beautiful and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is remembered for her dedicated RN nursing career, retiring from Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas, in 1995; as an active member of First United Methodist Church Richardson, nurses’ bridge club, luncheons and book reviews; as an avid bridge player, square dancer, world traveler; and for her generosity to her entire family.
Preceded in death by her parents, husbands Bill King, Bob Pill and Sid Hurst, and son Jeff King.
She is survived by daughters Karen King, Betsy Chambers, Ginger Sager, son Alon King, and daughter-in-law Susan King, all of whom live in the Dallas area, 10 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren.
Memorial service to be held at 2:00 pm, July 15th in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, TX. Visitation, July 14, 6 to 8 pm, Restland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church Richardson (503 N. Central Expressway 75080) or to Walnut Place (5515 Glen Lakes Drive 75231) in honor of her dedicated 6th floor caregivers.
