Ms. Jean Kane's Obituary
Jean Kane was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, on Feb 10, 1928 to Karl Ludwig and Gladys West Fuhlbrigge, both of Pittsfield Ma.. She married the love of her life since they were 13 and 15 Buddy (Leo) Kane on Feb 18, 1950. They were together for 81 years and married weeks short of 73 years.
The love of her life was Jesus Christ whom she met in her 40's. Buddy was her second love followed by her 4 children. She loved playing tennis into her 80's, skiing into her late 70's and all sports. Health and nutrition was her mantra. Once she met Jesus as her Lord and Savior she could not get enough of reading her bible. She loved her church, Prestonwood Baptist, where she volunteered for many hours and taught Bible classes for many years. She did lots of volunteer work in the community.
She is survived by her husband Leo, Buddy, Kane, her daughter Candy Kane Carby, and husband Gary , Mark Kane and wife Sharon, Cheryl Kane Estes and husband David, Melanie Kane-Corley and husband Obie. Grandchildren are Matt, Russell and Andrew Carby, Mark Kane Jr, Kristen Kane Donnell and Adam Gonazalez, Reese, Jackson, Cole and Mallory Dodson Kane-Corley. 6 great grandchildren McKenna, Lucas, Mason and Joshua Carby, Emmy and Robbie Donnell
Jean was laid to rest in a private family service on Jan 25th at Restland. No memorials are necessary but her favorite charities of which there were hundreds were Operation Kindness and Prestonwood Baptist Church of Plano.
