Jean Keffer's Obituary
KEFFER, Jean Cora Jean Keffer passed away on February 24, 2021, surrounded by her children. She was born to Jacob and Cora Moore in Stephenville, Texas, on June 22, 1925, but spent the majority of her early years in McCamey, Texas. In 1947 she married James Earl Keffer, who worked as credit manager for Continental-Emsco Oil Field Supply Company in Texas, Oklahoma, and Canada. Jean was a Mary Kay consultant for 50 years. She and Jim had been married for almost 60 years when he passed in 2007. Jean was also preceded in death by her parents, by her brothers J.C., Leon, Allen, and William Moore, and by her sister, Margaret Roberson. She is survived by her sons Jim (Leslie) and Bill (Liz), her daughter Mona (Clark), and her grandchildren, Vanessa, Brad (Carlie), Chris (Ashley), Rob (Anthony), Scott, Caroline, and Doug, as well as her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Braxton. Jean found beauty in the desert landscape of West Texas, was wholly opposed to winter, found contentment in her circumstances, and found salvation in Jesus Christ. She was fiercely devoted to her family and faithful to her friends, and her quick humor was her trademark. We are so sad that she is no longer here, but her influence continues to shape our lives. The family thanks Edgemere Retirement Community for twenty years of comfort, security, and happiness. A memorial service will be held at a later date, and she will be buried beside her husband at the DFW National Cemetery. The family requests that memorial gifts be made to Believers Chapel, 6420 Churchill Way, Dallas, Texas 75230.
