Jean Rae Lehmann's Obituary
Jean Rae Lehmann, 76, of Dallas Texas passed into the loving arms of our Savior on June 11, 2018 in Plano, Texas. She was born on November 10, 1941 in York, Nebraska to Wilbert H. Schmieding and Lorna K. Knorr.She married August H. Lehmann on June 23, 1968 in Gresham, Nebraska. They were married for 21 years. She graduated from Concordia Lutheran College in 1963 and taught in Lutheran schools for over 25 years. She loved to volunteer at her church and school and with Disciples of the Way. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, reading, volunteering , attending her granddaughters’ events and spending time with family and her boyfriend of 9 years, Rex Rhodes.She is survived by her daughters, Marla Lehmann of Richardson, Texas, Sonya Lehmann of Richardson, Texas, and Monica Pritchett; her son-in-law Les Pritchett; her three granddaughters, Grace, Kate and Claire of Plano, Texas; her sisters Jane Tech, Evie Barrett, Verla Blum; her brothers Myron Schmieding, Joseph Schmieding, Merle Schmieding, and Ed Schmieding all of Nebraska.She was preceded in death by her spouse, August H. Lehmann.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, Prince of Peace Christian School (http://www.popcs.org/giving/) or Upbring Ministries (www.upbring.org).Visitation will be held for Jean Rae Lehmann will be held Friday June 15, 2018 at Restland Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday June 16, 2018 in the. Garden of Good Shepherd at Restland Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday June 16, 2018 at 11:30 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, located 1801 W. Plano Pkwy., Plano, TX 75075.
