Jean Pierce Lucius' Obituary
LUCIUS, JEAN PIERCE 89, of Garland, Texas died peacefully on November 4, 2013 from a stroke. She was born in Oklahoma City to Ollie and Erma Pierce and was the oldest of 5 children. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City and lived her life in contact with family and friends there. She was a resident of Garland for 25 years. She is preceded in death by her first husband of 41 years, James H. Lucius. Jean was an active member of Arapaho Baptist Church in Garland and had made many friends while attending there. One of her life interests was being part of gospel singing and she travelled many places attending concerts. Her favorite pastime was being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her husband Fred Eaves; sons David Lucius and wife Jill, and Jim Lucius and wife Terry. Also surviving are grandchildren Adam and Sara Lucius, Lindsey Sauz and great grandson, Jas Sauz, sister June Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews. Her memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Restland Memorial Chapel. There will be a gathering of friends and family from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, prior to the service at Restland Funeral Home. The family asks that there be no flowers sent and any donations made to the charity of your choice.
