Jean Price Williamson's Obituary
WILLIAMSON, JEAN PRICE, a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on October 6, 2011. Born December 2, 1933 in Kentucky, at age three moved to South Charleston, WV, attended Morris Harvey College (now University of Charleston), and lived most of her adult life in Dallas, TX. Preceded in death by her parents Jack and Gladys Price; brothers John and Jack; and daughter (Sally) Wendy Williamson. Survived by daughter and son-in-law Jodi and Matthew Simons; grandchildren Caden Jett and India Skye Simons; sister, Elnor R. Price and brother Charles Thomas Price of Charleston, WV. Member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Zonta Club International, volunteer at the Dallas Arboretum and Visiting Nurses “Meals on Wheels” program. In 1991, established two permanently endowed 12th Man Scholarships at Texas A & M University in memory of daughter, Wendy Williamson and in honor of daughter, Jodi Williamson Simons. In 1969, helped form B.A.G. Corp. where she worked until semi-retirement in 1995 and remained on the Board of Directors. A Camp Sweeney scholarship fund will be set up in Jean and Wendy Williamson’s memory. Camp Sweeney is a residential camp for children who have diabetes.
