Jeanette LaGrone Bruce's Obituary
Jeanette L. Bruce, 86, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 11, 2023. Jeanette was born on September 17, 1936 in Dallas, Texas to Raymond H and Mattie O Brown. She grew up in Dallas and Beaumont where she graduated from French High School. She married Robert Bruce on September 27, 1981. Jeanette worked for Southwestern Bell and AT&T for 28 years and retired on December 31, 1989, and moved back to the Dallas area on January 6, 1990. She was loved by all and was considered by many to be the most selfless person they knew. She will be missed by all of her loved ones.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bruce; father, Raymond H. Brown; mother, Mattie O. Brown; sisters, Jean Pohlenz, Betty Marshburn, Martha Jones, Sandra Smallwood, and twin sister, Jeanell Wenner. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Charlie Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kathy LaGrone; grandchildren Bryan Shaw and wife Sheila, Simon Shaw, Michael LaGrone and wife Morgan, Stacy Hunt and husband Jonathan, Andy LaGrone and wife Erin; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Raymond L. Brown; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael LaGrone, Andy LaGrone, Jonathan Hunt, Reagan Wenner, Paul Marshburn and Eddy Worden.
Funeral services for Jeanette will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 2:00pm with a visitation 1 hour prior to service at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Tx 75243.
