Jeanette Day's Obituary
Jeanette Sanford Day, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2019, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on Wednesday, July 1, 1931, to her loving and thoughtful parents, Ozro Barkley Sanford and Vivian Carrie Burke Sanford in Marshall, Texas. Jeanette will be sincerely missed by her loving family, her devoted friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.Jeanette attended schools in Marshall, Dallas and Garland, TX. While attending Garland High School, she fell in love with Denham Wesley Day. They married on August 20, 1948 in Dallas, TX and lived in Garland where they raised their four children, Wayne, Sherry, Darrell and Kelly. They were married for 67 wonderful years.Jeanette was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very creative and remained active throughout her life.Jeanette’s life was her family, and her memory and spirit will live on through them. She is survived by her sons Wayne Day and wife Kathleen, Darrell Day and wife Jennifer, daughters Sherry Mueller and husband David, Kelly Trowbridge and her partner J.C. Penwell; grandchildren Shane Wilson and fiance Michelle Walton, Wendy Wilson McCauley and husband Mitch, Crystal Wilson Herrera and husband Rick, John Oldner and wife Monica, Sarah Trowbridge Thompson and husband Matt, Nick Trowbridge; great grandchildren Olivia and Kaden Wilson, Dayton, Brooklyn and lrelyn McCauley, Isabella and Roman Herrera, Noah & Ryder Trowbridge-Thompson. Other loved ones are Josh, Jacqueline, Josie and Justus Petree, Shane, Emily, Coleton and Carmon Cox, Kathryn Mueller, Christine Mueller and many other friends and family.Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Denham, age 85, who passed away after a short illness in April 2016, and her younger brother Jerry who died “too soon” in May 2015 at age 77.Her funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 30, at 12:30 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Day have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
