Jeanine Brown's Obituary
Jeanine Brown of Garland, TX passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on June 7, 2020. She was 81.
Jeanine was born and raised in Beaumont, TX. She graduated from St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica School, where she played the glockenspiel in the marching band, was Homecoming Queen, and voted Most Witty in her class. She loved poetry and had a poem published titled “The Sweetest Thing I Know”. In 1959 Jeanine married her high school sweetheart, Paul Brown, settling in Garland in 1964. Together they had four children in five years. Thirteen years later, they had their 5th child.
Jeanine was a dedicated homemaker and actively involved in all aspects of her children’s lives. She was a team mom to the girl soccer teams that Paul coached. She was also a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and was the Song Leader for the troop. Jeanine participated in her children’s school functions and encouraged them all to play musical instruments.
After Joey (#5) entered school, Jeanine began her second career as a pastry chef and cafeteria manager for Jess Harben Elementary School. She was loved by generations of children and many educators during her 32 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Annette Danna of Beaumont, sister Mary Lou Polite of Charlotte, NC, and husband, Paul.
Jeanine is survived by her siblings Margarette Coco of Beaumont, Kirwin Danna of West, and Debbie Clark of Friendswood, her children Michael, Charlotte Sadler of Coppell, Sherri Stanford of Byrd, Dana Threatt of Wylie, and Joey of Leander, as well as 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Viewing is from 12:00 to 02:00. Funeral and burial to follow immediately.
