Jeanne Adams' Obituary
Betty Jeanne Gallrein Adams Jeanne was born in Dallas on October 14, 1928, to Maude and Clement Gallrein. She lived in Dallas all her life. Except for the first 5 years of her marriage, she lived all her life in the house she grew up in. She attended Woodrow Wilson High School. At age 15, she met Rodger Adams and started dating him. She went to SMU, majoring in home economics. Jeanne and Rodger were married October 25, 1952 at Perkins Chapel on the SMU campus by Dr W. A.Criswell of l” Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Rodger; and two children, Sharon Davis (James) and Paul Adams (Angie). She was a stay-at-home wife and mother, totally devoted to her family. Family was her whole life and she was deeply involved in anything her children or husband did. She loved holidays and birthday celebrations and made every event special. She loved animals, especially birds and dogs. She was very much a “people person” and had many friends. She was a great listener, had enormous empathy for people, deeply cared about her family and friends and showed great compassion for them. She always seemed to know what to say to those who were hurting or discouraged. She died March 3, 2016 of complications from heart surgery. She was a member of Redeemer Bible Church. Jesus was her Savior and Lord. We take comfort in knowing she is in heaven with her Lord. The visitation for Jeanne Adams will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Jeanne will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 12:30 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
