Jeanne Rabke Carrillo's Obituary
Jeanne Rabke Carrillo died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas at the age of 87. She was the high school sweetheart and beloved wife of Tony Carrillo. Next December will mark the 70th Anniversary of their marriage. She was also the loving mother of Carol and Kenneth, mother-in-law to Bill Kaemmerer, and grandmother of Daniel and Matthew Kaemmerer.Jeanne was born on July 23, 1930 in Dallas and graduated in 1947 from North Dallas High School. She and Tony were charter members of Walnut Hill Methodist Church in Dallas where she also taught kindergarten as a substitute teacher. In 1962 they moved to Cincinnati where she began her involvement with Christian Women’s Club, serving in Board Chair and other board leadership positions in Cincinnati, Atlanta, Oklahoma City, and Scottsdale over the years. She also was introduced to Child Evangelism Fellowship and taught Good News Club initially in Cincinnati and later in Atlanta.Once her children were grown, Jeanne took the real estate market in Oklahoma City by storm, becoming a Million Dollar Producer in 1982, the first year of her practice. Jeanne took every real estate course offered, becoming GRI and CRS Certified. She was a licensed broker and active agent in Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Scottsdale, Arizona until 2006. She loved pairing customers with the right home. In 2006, Tony moved them to Garland to be closer to friends and relatives.She was a lover of beautiful plants and trees and prided herself on knowing all their names. In 2012, she and Tony gave up their home in Garland to become residents of Brookdale Club Hill where she loved exercising daily with Vernon’s B-Fit Exercise class.Jeanne loved the Lord and was a student of the Bible. While in Scottsdale she was active in Bible Study Fellowship. In Garland she was one of Firewheel Bible Fellowship’s “Lovely Ladies” study group.Jeanne was a leader and a social connector – and she will be missed by many.Services will be held at Firewheel Bible Fellowship 2402 Castle Dr., Rowlett TX 75089on Saturday April 21, 2018. 1:00 PM Visitation 2:00 PM Service.
