Jeff E. Miller Jr.,'s Obituary
Jeff E. Miller Jr. January 31, 1920 – September 9, 2012. Dad was born in Dallas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1936. He went on to graduate from the University of Texas in 1940. He enlisted in the Army in 1941 and spent much of WWII in the China-Burma-India theater flying “The Hump”. He married his childhood sweetheart, Margaret McMurrain, and they lived as newlyweds until her death in 1984. Dad was a geophysicist with Seaboard Oil Company in Midland in the 50s and later with CGG in London and Paris. The family returned to Dallas in 1970 and he reopened his consulting office. After 17 years traveling extensively on six continents he “walked out, closed the door, and retired”. Dad leaves behind a loving family including his daughter Nancy Little (Sam) of Cody Wyoming and his son Eric Miller (Carolyn) of Dallas, granddaughter Sandra Epperson (Tim), grandsons Dan Little (Becky), Jeff Miller (Mitzi), Russell Miller (Andrea), great granddaughters Christine Hubbell, Margaret Epperson, Reese Miller, and Reagan Miller, great grandsons Andrew Epperson, Brendan Little, Collin Miller, and Brooks Miller. Visitation will be at Restland Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Graveside services will be held at Restland on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 2:00PM.
