Jeff Weimer's Obituary
Jeff Weimer age 56, died Tuesday September 9, following a heart attack, after a heart attack and 10 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Jeff was born in Dallas, and graduated from W. T. He loved music, playing the organ and piano as a youngster, the baritone in high school, and the stand up bass, and electric bass in college. He was a member of several local bands and worked at Larry Morgan’s Music Store. Jeffs love for animals started when he began memorizing the names of dinosaurs when he was 3 years old. He had many pets through the years, but the loves of his life, were Niki and Annie, two Black Labradors and who preceded him in death. He loved the outdoors, and loved to photograph unusual items, or even usual items with a twist, in stark black and white for example. He had his own darkroom, and developed his own pictures. He especially enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, scuba diving, and fishing. Over ten years ago, Jeff was struck with early onset Parkinson’s Disease and was unable to follow a music career. He was unable to battle through his recent heart attack, kidney failure, and significant brain damage, even with the excellent care received by staff on the ICU unit at Medical City Hospital. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent and loving care provided by that staff as well as the Emergency Medical Technicians who performed CPR on the way to the hospital.
