Jeffrey Jon Belanger's Obituary
Jeffrey Jon Belanger was called home to our Lord on the morning of August 16, 2023. Jeffrey Jon, as his beloved mother Annette (Nettie) called him, is the youngest of two brothers born in New Jersey. Jeff, born on August 6, 1976, recently had his 47th birthday.
His parents, Annette and Roland Belanger, moved their young family to Houston, Texas when Jeff was only 2 years old. Although he grew up Texan, the New Jersey affectations ran strong, and Jeff had a charming aura about him.
In the mid 80s, the Belanger family moved to the most welcoming house on Mountain Ash Court in Garland, Texas. Jeff and his brother spent their childhood in a happy home filled with tradition, faith, lessons, community, everlasting friendships and unconditional love. He played football and baseball as a child, but his love for fishing would be his lifetime passion. Jeff graduated from Berkner High School in 1995 filled with hope for his future. He became a skilled Diamond Jeweler, which suited him well. He had the ability to appreciate flaws- but mostly, he just saw brilliance in just about everything. You were blessed to be loved by Jeff. He wore his heart on his sleeve and would give you the shirt off his back.
Jeff is preceded in death by his older brother, Erik Jason Belanger on November 1, 1997; his father Roland Anthony Belanger on August 4, 2014; and most recently his mother Annette Martha Belanger on May 10, 2017.
Jeff will be laid to rest near his brother, Erik, as he wished. May Jeff live on together with his family and our Lord in everlasting peace.
Jeff is survived by the only living Belanger, Aunt Denise from New Jersey.
There will be a Visitation from 6-8pm on Monday, August 28th at Restland's Memorial Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue in Dallas. His Funeral Mass will be the next morning at 10:30am, Tuesday, August 29th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (600 S Jupiter Rd. Richardson, TX 75081). Burial will be at Restland Cemetery. And a reception will follow in the Restland Event Center, 9220 Restland Road.
