Mr Jeffrey Cooper Jones' Obituary
Jeffrey Cooper Jones passed away peacefully at his home in Dallas on January 24, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jane Jones, his daughter, Lori Burklund, son-in-law Troy Burklund, grandchildren Cooper, Sydney and Ella Burklund of Houston, Texas, and his son Mike Jones, daughter-in-law Annie Helgason, and grandchildren Ruby and Molly Jones of Belmont, Massachusetts, as well as his sister Jill Brandon of Mesquite, Texas and sister Fronye Morris and brother-in-law Charlie Morris of Spur, Texas as well as many nieces and nephews. Jeff grew up on a ranch in Morton, Texas with his mother, Betty Jones, father, Luther "Swat" Jones and his sisters. He graduated from Morton High School and then got his bachelors degree from Texas Tech University. He got his first job as an accountant at an oil company and worked the rest of his life in the petroleum industry. He earned his CPA degree in 1971 and eventually retired from Placid Oil Company after 27 years. He got the most joy out of being with his family and he will be greatly missed. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at Wildwood on Saturday, February 19th at 2pm.
