My condolences to Paula and family. I am so sad to hear of Jeff's passing. He was truly a fine man who loved his family dearly. Jeff and I are cousins and we grew up together. He would hang out with my brothers and they would get into trouble or at times just enjoy life a little too much. Those days were some of the best times of my life. I look back on those days with fond memories of Jeff and some of the things we all did as kids. I enjoyed my visit with him when I came to Dallas several weeks after his Mom died. I will miss you cuz and I bet you and your Mom are having a good time together in heaven. Love you cuz Kathy

Paula , Kelly and family, I wish I could have met you all, I remember Jeff growing up in chula vista, I lived on D street with Kathy, Errol ,Keith, Marty and the rest, so many I cant remember all the names, But then again there were 7 Link kids too.. Remember sitting outside talking at nite till we were called in. I just recently got bk in contact, on Facebook, and enjoyed some chats and jokes… He was always worried about my health.. My sincere condolenceds to you, Paula and your family. I was lucky enough to know Jeff growing up in Chula Vista California as teenagers. I have many fond memories of the whole "gang" hanging out always listening to CSNand Y. Jeff would serenade us from time to time with a little John Denver and we would laugh–so many laughs with him. I will treasure those memories, the sarcastic humor, quick wit, eager laugh, and twinkling eyes. And oh yes, the late nights listening to the fire and police scanner! Until we meet again dear Jeff….

He was always helpful, caring, and upbeat — the kind of person you could always go to for help. If you brought Jeff a question and he didn't immediately know the answer he would find someone who did. Jeff had worked with us for many years testing our software product. He was a proud member of our "A-Team" group of elite users. We will miss the expertise, enthusiasm and patience he brought to the group. I will remember his kindness and understanding when things didn't go his way, and his willingness to take always take the time to lend a hand to fellow users. Additionally, he was also one of the few people who never forgot to say "thank you" when we did right by him. Rest in peace friend, you will be missed.

Jeff left us way to soon. Paul remembers all the things that he did to help him when he started working at Carreker. We also remember how much fun we always had getting together with you guys when life wasn't so complicated. Mourning the loss of my good friend Jeff Martin. My condolences to the family. Jeff was a lifelong friend. As kids we got in trouble together many times. The best was stuffing newspaper in the downspouts of the church and lighting them on fire. It made a roar like a ships horn. Only Jeff could have figured that out! He helped me work on my VW and taught me many songs on the guitar. He was a hard core CSN&Y fan. There wasn't much Jeff couldn't do or figure out. However, he was a lousy skier but gave it his all! Full of life and full of mischief. When Jeff laughed everyone laughed. We grew closer post-mission and through college. Life took me to Utah and Jeff to Texas. An occasional call and email and ultimately Facebook kept us up. I will miss you my friend. The wonders years were better because of you. Luv ya man! Til we meet again!

Although I did not know his wife and children my thoughts are certainly with you for your loss of your husband and father. I grew up with Jeff and will always have fond memories of our teenage years. Jeff was always loved by everybody, especially the girls of the ward and was the life of the party wherever he went. I called him "Wayne" and he called me "Flake", our respective middle names. There was always a little mischief in Jeff, though nothing bad. He was always pulling pranks and joking around. When I think about "Wayne" these things come to mind from our teen years. Randomly they are; getting in trouble in early morning seminary for laughing at his jokes, his orange Datsun pick-up with a great stereo that he was so proud of, the music of Stephen Stills and Neil Young and watching him play his guitar, but especially how much fun he was to be around. Jeff was always smiling with his mischievous smile making you wonder what he was up to next. Jeff truly loved life! He will be greatly missed and always remembered.

My condolences to Paula and family. I had just recently reconnected with Jeff via email and as always he shared with me his love for life and his family. As one of his cousins I did grow up with Jeff and I know of his love for having fun, sometime maybe a little to much with my older brother.
