Jennie Sue Cloninger's Obituary
Age 91 was born January 21, 1921 in Linden in Cass County Texas. She was the fifth of nine children born to Preston and Minnie Mae (Duncan) Henderson. Jennie passed away August 10th, 2012. She was married to Sidney Lee Cloninger for 69 years until his death last year, and they raised two sons. Her careers were wife and mother, and she dearly loved both. After many years in San Antonio, TX, she and Sid moved in 1961 and spent 40 years in Farmers Branch, TX until their home burned in 2002. From there they moved to Dallas at The Bentley retirement community, followed by The Bentley Manor assisted living and finally Winters Park Memory Care in Garland, TX. While in Farmers Branch, she and Sid were heavily involved with the Farmers Branch Senior Center, and helped form the Center’s Senior Dance Club. She assisted with Meals on Wheels and drove cancer patients to treatments for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband and all of her siblings. She is survived by sons Don and wife Ruth of Garland, David of Highland Village; grandsons Steve and wife Teresa of Desoto, Brian and wife Marti of Dallas, Matt and wife Alicia of Sachse; granddaughter Amy and husband Chris of McKinney; great-granddaughters Ashli, Brittini, Preslea, Hailey, and Avery; great-grandson Tyler; great-great-grandson Zachery; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday August 14, 2012 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will be Wednesday, at 11:00 am, August 15, 2012 at Wells Chapel Cemetery near Linden, TX. In lieu of flowers memory gifts can be made to Wells Chapel Cemetery Association, 211 Tobacco Road, Linden, TX.
