Jennie Ruth Hunter's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Jennie Ruth Hunter (Aunt Penny)Jennie Ruth Hunter was born October 18, 1922 to Lacy and Jennie Adelaide Ward and was the youngest of 9 and the last surviving sibling of the Ward family. She was a strong and faithful Woman of God and loved our Lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart and soul. She devoted her life to her family and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Garland. She was preceded in death by her husband Garland Byron Hunter of 60 years. The Lord blessed Jennie Ruth with 4 children Harmon, Horace, Gary, and Cynthia. Those children gave her eight Grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was loved beyond measure by her family and by all that met her. She will be greatly missed, forever loved and remembered always for the amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt that she was. The services will be held at Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Abbey Chapel 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas 75243 with Brother Jack E. Schmid officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 also at Restland Funeral Home.
