Jerilene "Jerri" Ashcraft's Obituary
Jerilene "Jerri" Ashcraft, age 73, passed away in Garland, Texas on January 31, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1951, in Dodge City, Kansas. In 1973, she married Steven P. Ashcraft and moved to Dallas.
When she felt well, Jerri had a sweet demeanor. Her laugh was infectious, and she wasn't afraid to laugh at herself. She was very strong willed. Her days were enjoyed working in her back yard and watching birds, listening to classic rock as well as her children's music with them. She also loved watching OU football and got extremely passionate on the big plays. She was loved by friends, neighbors and anyone she came across.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Doris B. Henke; dad, Peck Henke; sister, Jackie Houck; nephew, Eric Houck and brother-in-law, Ralph Houck.
Jerri is survived by her daughter, Amanda Lynn Ashcraft; son, Patrick Jeremy Ashcraft; grandson, Skyler B. Miller; sisters, Monta Jo Lucas (Rudy) and Linda Armstrong (Charley) and many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Jackie.
Jerri Ashcraft's celebration of life will be at Tavern on the Square in Garland at 2pm on Saturday March 22nd.
Food, and a DJ/KJ will be provided for the entertainment afterwards.
She wanted us to remember her by having a good time.
