Jerome Martin Pousson's Obituary
Jerome Martin Pousson, 89, of Richardson, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Dorothy and Isadore Pousson, Jerry graduated from Texas A&M, Corps of Cadets, 1958, Mechanical Engineering. He served as 1st Lieutenant in the 293rd Engineer Battalion co B USAREUR in Hohenfels, Germany for four years.
As a young officer, Jerry wanted to see the world and buy a Porsche. He returned to the United States with his wife, child, and a Volkswagen: “Best tradeoff ever,” he was known to say!
Jerry retired from Texas Instruments after working as a Mechanical Engineer in the semiconductor division. With his TI career, he travelled around the world and made many international friends, but he always cherished returning home to his family and friends in Texas.
In 1956, Jerry became a knight in the Knights of Columbus, the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization. He became a fourth degree knight of the highest order in 1975. He was a deeply faithful man and helped all those who asked for his help with a smile and a witty remark.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Erna, his daughter, Karin and his two grandchildren, Laura and Mark. He is also survived by his younger sister, Catherine, and his many nephews and nieces both in Houston, Texas and Neumarkt/Opf, Germany.
His trust in the Lord was unwavering.
Service Information:
Visitation will be held 5 PM – 7 PM on January 8, 2026, at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Richardson, TX 75243
A Catholic Mass with reception following will be held on January 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, St., 720 S. Floyd Rd, Richardson, TX 75080
