Jerrel B Carmicle's Obituary
On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, Jerry Carmicle, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 87.
Jerry was born on July 15, 1934 in Liberty, KY to Jesse and Burnettie Carmicle. He started his career in the family masonry business and ventured out as a project manager to build structures all over the United States, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Mexico. On June 2, 1956, he married the love of his life, Linda Harper Carmicle. During their 65 year marriage they were blessed with two children, two grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Jerry had a passion for building, mentoring and selflessly sharing with those in need. He went on several mission trips to Haiti, Belize and Anguilla to build schools and churches. He gave back to the local community by volunteering for Meals on Wheels and Plano Helpers. He was also known for his great work ethic, integrity and honesty.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Jesse, his mother Burnettie, his stepmother Minnie, his son Jerry, as well as, five brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife Linda, his daughter Roxie, his grandchildren Angela and Danny, his brother Larry, his sister Linda Lou, numerous nieces, nephews and his great grandson.

A memorial service will be held on Monday September 13, 2021 at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano at 2:00 PM. Masks and social distancing will be observed. Flowers or donations may be sent to the church at 6601 Custer Road, Plano, TX 75023.
