Jerry R. Coffman Sr.'s Obituary
Jerry R. Coffman, Sr., 75, of Dallas went to be with the Lord Monday evening, June, 15, 2015. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 20, 2015, 2:30 p.m., at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. Pastor Jack E. Schmid, First Baptist Church Garland, TX will be officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2015, 6:00p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Jerry was born in Avery, TX November 16, 1939 to Amos and Mellie Coffman. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Jerry retired in 2004 from Halliburton Company (Dresser Industries) oilfield equipment manufacturing plant in Dallas completing 42 years of service. He and his wife Betty enjoyed spending time visiting North Padre Island, Texas State Parks, visiting family in Arkansas and just traveling to different parts of the United States in their travel trailer during vacation and after retirement. Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Green Coffman; daughter Robin Johnson and husband, Bobby of Hewitt; son, Jerry Jr. and wife, Kim of Mesquite; daughter Karen Babbitt and husband Darrell of Garland; and son Donald ; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; his sister , Patricia Coffman and brother, Melvin. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and 2 nephews, and Reyna, a co-worker. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
