Jerry Douglas Head's Obituary
Jerry was born in Jonesboro, LA to his loving parents, Rosetta
McClain and James Head. Jerry attended Carroll High School in Monroe, LA and upon graduation he joined the Army. He served two tours of duty in Panama and Vietnam, returning home in 1970. He was proud and honored to have served his country.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Rosetta Fites and James Head, brothers James E Head, and Roosevelt Silas, sister Linda Rosbourgh, wife Betty Head and daughter Jeanetta Washington.
He is survived by sisters Trudy Pitts and Luegina Drones, niece and caregiver Lorrie Jackson, daughters, Annetta Head, Jerrye Lynn Amaechi and Vicki Nelson (Marcus Nelson Sr.), 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, a host nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Jerry Douglas Head will be Monday, June 12, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 10:15 AM at DFW National Cemetery.
