Jerry O Jones' Obituary
Jerry Jones of Allen, Texas passed away February 24, 2016. He was born in Bastrop, Texas. Jerry earned his BS and Masters degrees from UT in 1971-1972 and interned with the IRS during his college years. This experience opened the door to a 38 year career which culminated in his role as Program Manager, Operations, Small Business and Self-Employed. Jerry and his wife, Sharon took many trips across the globe. He loved sports, was a lifetime fan of UT Athletics and was his granddaughter’s biggest fan at her volleyball games. Jerry is survived by his wife Sharon, son Greg Kinzer, daughter-in-law Mia Kinzer and adored granddaughter Avery. Also survived by brothers Larry Jones, Albert Jones and his wife Debbie, and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his mother Odell Anderson, stepfather Marvin Anderson, father Bobby Jones, brothers “Sonny” and Michael, and sister Janice Kay. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Suncreek United Methodist Church, Allen, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SUMC, 1517 W. McDermott Drive, Allen, Texas 75013 or a charity of your choice.
