Jerry Louis' Obituary
Jerry Louis, born on December 18, 1940, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on January 4, 2025, in his hometown. He was the beloved son of Juanita and Charles Louis.
Jerry dedicated his life to God, a commitment that was evident in all aspects of his life. He was a dedicated deacon at his church and a passionate Sunday school teacher. His commitment to his faith extended to working with youth groups on mission trips, where he shared his love for skiing, one of his favorite hobbies. Jerry also had a deep affection for airplanes and proudly held a glider's license and his pilot's license.
On August 31, 1963, Jerry married the love of his life, Susan, in Dallas. He had four years of college education at Texas Tech and went on to work at Louis Auto Parts and later became the president of J. Louis Inc., a successful manufacturing representative company. A hardworking entrepreneur, Jerry also enjoyed hunting, a pastime that brought him great joy.
Jerry was a quiet, humble man known for his steadfast reliability and unwavering dedication to his family. He was the best provider, deeply caring for his loved ones. He is survived by his devoted wife Susan, his son Don Louis, his daughter Amy Dean, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Jerry's legacy of faith, love, and service will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.
A visitation will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Restland's Wildwood Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243, with the service beginning subsequently at 2 PM.
