Our thoughts and prayers are for the Roberge familyduring these difficult days. May the grace of God bring comfort and and peace to your heavy hearts.
Going through some old memorobilia today, I came across something that reminded my of Jerry and I looked on the internet to see if I could find him, but to my dismay … I found this site. Jerry was my best friend in 8th and 9th grade at JJHS North Side. We hung out everyday, I used to walk across base to his bus stop so that I could ride to school with him, we were in the student council togeher, we formulated each others plans for flirting with girls, we flattered each other as "SuperStars", read Mad magazie, and laughed constantly, not the socially acceptable chuckle but the inhale deeply throw your head back and laugh to exhaustion. In fact my friendship with Jerry is where I learned to laugh, he was a good teacher, and I can honestly say I experienced true joy with Jerry. We seemed to have the ability to just crack each other up. I left Arkansas in 1976 and I have not talked to Jerry since the day I left, all these years I knew nothing about him, but I thought about him many times over the course of my life and always counted him among the people I knew and liked best. It is a tragic loss that I didn't try to reach out years earlier. Jerry helped form who I am. I am sorry for his family's loss. I hope this message gets through. John Elliott Long

My deepest sympathy to all Jerry's family. He was a great friend to many and will be dearly missed. My prayer is that you feel God's peace and comfort to bring you through this most difficult time.
Dear Roberge family, we're so sorry to have learned of Jerry's loss. Yours is a remarkable family and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I will always remember Jerry by being one of the funniest and friendliest guys in school. His sister, Dina, was a good friend of mine and still is. Jerry will always be remembered as a fun loving all around good guy. He will be missed by many. I'm so thankful I was able to see him at our 30 year reunion last October. Please know my prayers are with you and your family. Cheri Waldo Rolett – Class of '79
