Jerry Ann Terry's Obituary
Jerry Ann Terry was born in Memphis, TN on June 27, 1931. She was the second child blessed to Frank and Mae Williams. Her spirit was strong and her love for all of God’s creation left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. The love and dedication Jerry had for her family were unwavering and immense. She was blessed with a son, Frank Nelson. Her love was fierce and she worked hard to provide a loving home for him. While living in Oak Cliff, Jerry met her husband Jack. He was a neighbor who helped them carry in groceries and his charm soon swept her off her feet. Jerry and Jack were devout disciples of Christ and joined a congregation at Tyler Street United Methodist Church where they shared in God’s glory and a passion to help others. They also shared a love for wanting to see the world so they traveled as much as possible. Jerry was blessed with a daughter when Frank married Janet. The couple has three children, Miranda, William and Jonathan. As a devoted grandmother she cherished her grandchildren and spent many years caring for them. Her light shone on them in ways she would never truly know and her spirit lives on within them. She also has two granddaughters who she welcomed into her family with great love and kindness. The family was blessed to have Marcie marry Jonathan. The couple has two children, Sofia and Lana. Another blessing occurred when William married Jayme. They have one child, Jack, named after Jerry’s late husband. Her great grandchildren filled her heart with infinite joy. God answered her prayers and gave her a big family who are all enriched by her love. Jerry answered the call to be with her Father on May 23, 2016 in Dallas, TX. Anyone who spoke with Jerry knew she was a beautiful soul. She brought kindness, strength, and radiance to this world. So many lives were touched by knowing this glorious woman. Her compassion for all of God’s creation ingrains her into our hearts. We know that she is with her husband Jack in Heaven and they are watching over us, guiding us safely, until we are together again in His house. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00AM at Tyler Street United Methodist Church.
