Jerry Ray Warren's Obituary
Jerry Ray Warren, 79, of Garland, Texas, passed away on March 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 14, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Joe Veron Warren and Annie Mae Nixon.
Jerry was united in marriage to Candy Shearer in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1974, and together they shared a beautiful journey filled with love and companionship.
A man of many passions, Jerry found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for deep-sea fishing, finding solace and adventure on the open waters. His fondness for the music of Elvis Presley was evident to all who knew him, as he would often be found tapping his feet to the rhythm of "The King." However, it was his passion for craftsmanship that truly defined him. Jerry's hands were his tools, and with them, he founded Warren Construction Concepts, where he dedicated over 25 years of his life, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and excellence.
In service to his country, Jerry proudly served in the Army from 1965 to 1967, achieving the rank of Private E-1. His dedication and commitment to duty were evident throughout his military service.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Veron Warren and Annie Mae Nixon, as well as his sisters Mary Ann Smith, Thelma Reed, and Zelma Wise.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Candy Warren, his daughter Rena Warren Kimberlin and husband Mark Kimberlin, his stepdaughter Lisa Cameron and husband Keith Cameron, and stepdaughter Shelly Barton. Jerry will be remembered fondly by his grandchildren, Mark O'Neal Kimberlin, Andrew Kimberlin, Tristan Montelongo, Candace Pollard, and Anna Johnson, as well as his great-grandchildren, Andrew Kimberlin Jr., Matthew Kimberlin, August Kimberlin, Liliana Kimberlin, Killian Kimberlin, Oliver Montelongo, Olive Montelongo, Ryden Kluth, Kenny Kluth, James Johnson, Sally Johnson, and Lisa Johnson. His sisters, Wanda Warren Stevenson, Jean Smith Ranne, Debra K Smith, and brother Sam Smith. Additionally, he is survived by Carolyn Garland, mother of his daughter Rena, who he remained close friends throughout his life.
Jerry Ray Warren's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love for family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
