Mr. Jesse Edwin Burton's Obituary
BURTON, JESSE EDWIN “ED” born in Hunt County on May 28, 1928 to Jesse Vinson Burton and Georgie Smith and passed away June 24, 2007. Ed attended Floyd High School, the business college, and SMU Night School. Ed worked 40 years at Lone Star Gas retiring in 1993 and recently worked part-time at Restland Funeral Home and Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home. Ed is preceded in death by brother, George A. Burton; and sister, Opal Faye Burton. He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Mills Burton; daughters, Linda Burton, and Beverly Groves and husband Lloyd; step-daughter, Beth Schulz and husband Kurt; son, Larry Burton; granddaughters, Carly Brooks, Charla Burton, Morgan Groves, Maegan Groves Jauhal and husband John; great grandson, Chandler Davis; step grandsons, Brian Bunch and wife Caryn, and Kyle Schulz; step granddaughters, Jodi Schulz and Hannah Schulz; brothers, William R. (Buck) Burton and Marshall W. Burton. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Catherine Lyles and Anelda Crawford officiating. Burial will be at Merit Cemetery in Merit, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Ed’s memory to American Hospice
