Jesse Pierce Johnson's Obituary
JOHNSON, JESSE PIERCE Born November 21, 1924 in Belgreen, Alabama. Passed away on March 26, 2013 in Richardson, Texas. Raised in Haleyville, Alabama where he met and married Bobbie Annette Ray in 1943 and shared 62 years of happiness until her death in 2005. Served in the U.S. Army of the Pacific during WWII. Graduated in 1948 from the University of Alabama with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Worked for ARCO for 33 years and retired as Vice President of Operations in Houston. Worked 3 years for Mesa Oil Co. as Vice President of Operations. He considered the most important event of his life to be his public profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in May 1938 and lived his life accordingly. He was made Deacon Emeritus at the First Baptist Church of Plano, Texas. He is survived by his son and son’s wife, Chris and Carolyn Johnson, daughter Julie Curbo, grandchildren Christy, Valerie, and Alex Johnson and John Curbo, and great-grandson Colton Curbo. Visitation will be at Restland Funeral Home on March 31, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Plano on April 01, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the Whispering Waters area of Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the First Baptist Church of Plano Building Endowment Fund, 1300 15th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.
