Jesse Dale Youngker's Obituary
Mr. Jesse Dale Youngker, age 90, passed away on Saturday May 28, 2022 at his home in Coppell, Texas. Born in Goodnight, Oklahoma on November 3, 1931, he was the second of six children born to Mr. Joseph Lorin Youngker and Ms. Alta Bickford. Jesse was raised on a farm in Goodnight and his life reflected the values he developed there as a youngster. He graduated from Perkins High School in 1949 and immediately enlisted in the United States Navy. He served his country for six years before receiving an honorable discharge in September 1954.
Jesse is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years Alice Garcia Youngker, his three daughters Debra Whitten, Susan Arnold, and Terrie Cook, and his son Robert Youngker. He was also the grandfather to twelve grandchildren and the great-grandfather to thirty-two more, brother Billy Youngker and wife, Betty, Perkins, brother Lyle Youngker and wife. Vickie, Perkins, and sister, Marilyn Price, Perkins.
Jesse attended Oklahoma A&M University, now Oklahoma State for a few years before moving to Dallas, Texas to take a job with Lone Star Gas. After working for several HVAC companies in the area he and a partner opened their own air conditioning and heating business in 1968. Jesse was the owner/operator of Master Airconditioning in Irving, Texas for thirty-five years until he retired in 2003. His values of working hard and taking care of family set a fine example for his children and grandchildren. As his oldest grandson Jesse Arnold expressed in a note to his mother on the day of Jesse’s passing, “…just kind of reflecting on his legacy and how his hard work and life preceded me and in some ways helped set the stage for me to grow up, start a family, and find some success in life. He was a good man and a fun grandpa. He lived a good long life and I’m proud to have a role in carrying on his legacy…”
Services for Mr. Jesse Youngker will be held August 29, 2022 at 10am in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Jesse and his wife, Alice will be buried together at Olivet Cemetery in Oklahoma.
