Jessica Lynn Gonzales' Obituary
Jessica Lynn (Hernandez) Gonzales passed away on the evening of December 4, 2024. Jessica was facing one of the toughest battles of her life. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by those that love her dearly. She is now reunited with those that preceded her in death and sitting next to our Lord and Savior in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jessica was born in Abilene, Texas on July 20, 1977, to Miguel G. Hernandez and Herlinda Sandoval. At the age of 26, she moved to the Dallas area where she raised her 5 children. She was an active member of St. Mark's Catholic church where she volunteered her time teaching RCIA. During her time, she inspired many people through their walk with God. One of her favorite scriptures was, Psalms 91 “He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.” This scripture, along with many others, guided her through the most difficult of her days. Her smile was infectious, her love for her family was boundless, she was solely committed to her children and was the best mother anyone could ever wish for. To her siblings she was the gentle shoulder to lean on, she had the gift of listening, her advice was always led by grace. She was as beautiful inside as she was on the outside.
She is survived by her parents, Miguel (Mary) and Herlinda (David), her 3 sisters, Veronica Clark (Julian), Michelle Diaz (Jaime), Yolanda Diaz (Daniel), and brother, Michael Hernandez (Elizabeth), her 5 children, Ruben Anthony Gonzales, Israel Gonzales, Alexa Gonzales, Isaac Gonzales, Alena Gonzales, grandchildren, Julianna and Jazen Gonzales, along with 12 nieces and nephews and other extended family.
To celebrate the life Jessica lived and the legacy she left, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday December 14, 2024, 2pm Restland Memorial Chapel 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas Texas 75243.
