Jessie "JD" Darnel Edwards' Obituary
Jessie Darnel “JD” Edwards, born November 9, 1932 in Anna Texas to Jessie D Edwards and Nancy Mooney. He left this earth on March 5, 2017 in Richardson, Texas. He was a graduate of Davidson High School, a 1970 graduate of Texas A&M University and earned two Master degrees from Abilene Christian University. JD retired from the U.S. Army in 1973 and retired from Texas Utilities where he was the head Corporate Health Physicist on the Comanche Peak Project. He married his beloved wife Virginia Carol Phelps on November 24, 1955. J.D. is survived by his wife Carol; children, Joey “Randy” and Susan Edwards of Garland, Noel Edwards of Richardson, Tracey and Rick Anderton of Bedford, and Sean and Lana of Garland; grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan Webb of Heath, Justin Anderton of Bedford, Joe Edwards of Plano, Bradley Edwards of Richardson, Douglas Rynders of Slidell, Stephenie and Stacey Clontz, Tyler, Ashlee and Shelby Potts; three great- grandsons, John, Luke and Andrew, brother, Clifford Edwards. J.D. was preceded in death by his 9 siblings. Visitation will be from 6 pm – 8 pm, Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Restland Abbey Chapel.
