Jesus P. Zavala's Obituary
Jesus P. Zavala Jr passed away on January 6, 2017 in Plano, TX at the age of 34. He was known by many as Jesse or just plain “Z.” Jesse is preceded in death by his brother David Andrew Martinez, grandmother Virginia Duran and grandfather John A Martinez Sr. Jesse is survived by his wife Mayra, sons David Andrew, Christopher and Joshua, his mother Diana Martinez Zavala and father Jesus P Zavala Sr as well as an extended family and close friends. He was born on June 30th 1982 in Dallas, TX. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 2000. Jesse was a Veteran of the United States Army and served two tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He was a devoted father, husband and loyal friend. Those close to him knew he had a big heart and always put others before himself. His smile and laugh were contagious and could light up the room in an instant. His caring and kindness always seemed to overshadow cloudy days. He knew what to say and how to act when you were dealing with a problem, whether it was at work or having a small conversation outside of his home. Rosary will be Thursday, January 12th, 2017 from 6:00–8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. 13005 Greenville Avenue Dallas, TX. 75243. Funeral Service will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church on Friday, January 13th, 2017 at 1:00 PM. 4014 Simpson St. Dallas, TX. 75246. Burial to follow at Restland Memorial Park. After burial, family and friends will gather at their house. 2617 Pioneer Bluffs Rd. Balch Springs, TX. 75181. Service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 1 PM at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 4014 Simpson St, Dallas, TX 75246. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
