Jewell Opal Daugherty's Obituary
Born to Minnie and Louis Kruse on April 30, 1920 in Wylie, TX, and went to be with our Lord on February 11, 2009. She was a member of the Eastern Stars in Dallas and was a member of Richland Baptist Church in Garland, TX. She was famous for her cooking, especially her fried chicken. She was kind and her house was open to all and was the epitome of the definition of a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was cared for with loving hands by her daughter Wanda. Jewell truly exemplified the sufferings of Christ and accepted them willingly. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Dannel Daugherty and her daughter, Shirley Ann Walton. She is survived by daughter, Wanda Boulton; son, Dan Daugherty; grandsons, Aaron Boulton and wife, Teresa, Michael Walton and wife, Lucretia, Russell Walton and wife, Stacie; great-grandsons, Michael David Walton, Tyler Walton, Justin Everett; great-granddaughters, Melissa Marie Walton and Taylor Ann Walton. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, February 13, at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held Saturday, February 14, at 3:30 pm in Restland’s Memorial Chapel with Reverand Fr. Dan Daugherty officiating. Pallbearers for Mrs. Daugherty will be Aaron Boulton, Mike Walton, Russ Walton, Larry Cassetty, Paul Priestner, and Joe Smith.
