Jim Bob Parvin son of Robert (Sheriff) and Estelle Parvin was born on September 24, 1931, in Glen Rose, Texas and passed away on February 23, 2018, in Garland, Texas. Jim is survived by his family and friends. He married Joan Halbert on September 3, 1956 in Sweetwater, Texas. Jim was a switchman for over 40 years for the Railroad, and raised greyhounds for over 50 years.He is survived by his wife, Joan Parvin; daughter, Trish Mengle and husband Paul of Murphy, Texas; son, Wes Parvin and wife, Lesley of Keota, OK; Bubba Parvin and Micky Lockheart of Mobile, AL; sisters, Jo Ward and Lynda McGrady; grandchildren, Ronnie Myers of Dallas, Texas; Britney Parvin of Keota, OK and Lyndsey Parvin of San Diego, CA; great grandchildren, Blake Oldham of Keota, OKThe family will receive guest on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Reslandfuneral home, followed by a service for Mr. Jim at 12:30 PM. He will be missed by all who knew him.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
