Jim “James” Sparks died peacefully in Garland, Tx on May 22, 2016 at the age of 80. Jim graduated from Como High School in 1954. He attended East Texas State Univ. (A&M Commerce) with a Bachelor of Science in Technical Agriculture Read Obituary
I worked with Mr Jim Sparks throughout his therapy several years ago when he was at then new Villages of Lake Highlands. I had the opportunity to be a part of his most recent illness and rehabilitation. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

I loved Jim Sparks. I worked for him for at least 20 years and he was an amazing man. One of my fond memories is he enjoyed collecting beanie babies, I believe he did this for his grandchildren. I remember too that he always called me "Trouble" for some reason ! I know he will be missed by many. Tammy Summers May God bless your family , Jim , and give them comfort and peace. Jim was a special man. I had the pleasure of working around him for 5 years, and Harold had 42 years working with Jim at the credit union too. He will be dearly missed. Prayers to his family during this difficult time.

I have such fond memories of Jim and will be forever grateful for the kindness, patience, support, and mentoring he showed me during the 16 years I worked for him at Texans Credit Union. His confidence in me, and expectation of excellence from me facilitated my professional growth beyond anything I could have expected.
