Jim Russell Whiddon's Obituary
Jim Russell Whiddon, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on March 25, 2023 at the age of 66. He was born on November 12, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, to Claude and Maxine Beedle.
Jim is remembered by his big heart, his love of family and friends, music and stereos, hunting, fishing, cars, and trucks, the history of the military, talking politics, guns and ammo, photography and his love of our country. He always displayed and honored the US flag and had a great respect for those that served our country. He will always be remembered for his tireless efforts to make every Christmas special for all, especially his numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. His loyalty to friends and family was always evident, volunteering countless hours to serve others, even when he was the one that needed help. Unselfish, generous, caring, loyal, patriot. This is how Jim will be remembered.
Those left to cherish Jim’s memory are his brothers, John Whiddon and wife Gwen, Clint Beedle and wife Geani; sister Claudette Davis and husband Bob, and best friend/brother Wes Travis and wife Gloria. He is also survived by his numerous “kids” – nieces, grand nieces, nephews, grand nephews and cousins: Corey, Brenda, Russ, Amanda, Raylan, Quinlan, Michelle, Corey, Harrison, Harper, Carter, Colin, Austin, Lilah, Brandon, Lindsay, Georgia, Landry, Kelly, Parker, Nicholas, Hamilton, Tommy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12th from 6:00-8:00pm at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 13th in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
