Mr. Jimmie Ralph Laferney, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, in Irving, Texas of Cancer. He was born on Wednesday, March 11, 1931, to his loving and thoughtful parents, Lewis Houston and Gertrude Ellen in Somerville, Texas. Mr. Jimmie Ralph Laferney will be sincerely missed by his loving family, his devoted friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.He married Betty Sue Braden on 6/2/62 in Irving, Texas. He was a Engineer/Draftsman for over 50 years at Storm Vulcan, Inc., Dallas. Texas.He is survived by spouse Betty Sue Laferney, Irving, Texas, daughters Linda Diane Schmidt, Hallville, Texas, Debra Sue Laferney, Frisco, Texas, sons Jimmy Don Laferney, Frisco, Texas, David Wayne Laferney, Carrollton, Texas, Larry Gregg Ehart, Irving, Texas, 12 grtandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by children James Edward Ehart.He was a loving father, loving husband, avid out doorsman, a geniune gentleman and good man loved by all who knew him.Visitation for Mr. Jimmie Ralph Laferney will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 11:00 PM to 12:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
