Jimmie and I shared some of the same interests in life. He enjoyed golfing and fishing as do I. I remember a company fishing tournament we were holding at Cedar Creek lake. I damaged the connector to the fuel tank on my boat and was not going to get it fixed and participate in the tournament. Jimmie let me take a connector off one of his hoses for me to use. To me that says a lot about the kind of person Jimmie was in life. Very giving and generous, caring about his friends and thankfully I could count Jimmie as one of mine. It was a pleasure working with Jimmie and sharing our outside interest. Slick (as known by his cohorts) my friend, may you rest in peace and know the grace of GOD for eternity. James Rhea
I remember my first golf outing with Dad. I know he wasn't sure about me as a potential Son in Law, but by the 18th hole we were best friends. He filled the missing hole in my heart left by the passing of my own father some years earlier. I shall miss him.
Simply said…We loved you Uncle Jim. You hung in there and fought the good fight! Thank you for always caring and loving us and our children/grandchildren. You always had a hug and a smile for us whenever family got together. You will be missed here with us on earth, but you will never leave our hearts or fade from our memory. Love from Lewis & Cindy

Never will forget all the good times we had at Solar Turbines. Jimmie and I were the first two employee's that went to work on May 7, 1967. We used to sit around and listen to Gene Olson tell all these jokes or all the things he did to people at Southwest Airmotive . I don't even know if all the things he said were true or not . Just wanted to share a few things to let you know that Jimmie was not forgotten by me or all his other friends. With my deepest sympathy and loss of a friend. From the Bobby Sparks Family
