Jimmie Wilkins/Captain Fun born January 5, 1935 in Dallas, Texas and passed away August 1, 2015 in Greenville, Texas. Jimmie was an animal lover, boat racer, Goldwing motorcycle and builder of classic cars, 1951 Mercury, Over the Hill Gang Car Club and avid reader. Survived by wife, Diane Wilkins; children, Jim & wife Susan, Gerald & wife Donna, Darla & Danell, son in law David McCoy; grandchildren, Laurie, Eric, Mark, Matt, Lyndsay, Chad, Amari, Blake, Chris, Patrick, Cameron, Holly, Hilary, Gabrielle; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Betty Wilkins. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 11:00AM-12:00PM in The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home followed by a service at 12:00PM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
