Jimmy David Fultz's Obituary
FULTZ, JIMMY DAVID Jimmy was a 1951 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas where he played center and linebacker for their football team. In 1949, as a Woodrow Wilson Wildcat, he traveled to Mexico City to play in an International Bowl game. Jimmy continued his love of the game throughout his life, and never missed a chance to watch the Cowboys or his grandson, Russell, play pewee through college ball. On April 20, 1953 he married Doris Vestal. They raised their family in the Unbandale community of East Dallas, later moving to Forney, Texas in 1969. Jimmy had a large social circle in both Dallas and Forney and could oftentimes be found with his friends and family dancing, fishing, playing dominoes, or just enjoying a cold beer on a hot Texas day. Jimmy worked just as hard as he played, and was a valued employee of Plastics Manufacturing Company for 43 years. His hard work and dedication saw him climb the ranks through management before he retired in 1995. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, taking fishing trips with his brothers, tending his vegtable garden, and whipping up delicious home cooked meals for his friends and family. If you got a chance to taste one of his famous omelets or attend one of his fish fries, you were indeed treated to a special meal made with love. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, William Claud and Mabel Fultz; daughter, Marsha Ann Fultz; son, Michael David Fultz; son-in-law, Michael J. Bannister and brother-in-law, Kenneth J. Green.
